Systems Engineer IT (m/w)
Main tasks & responsibilities
This exciting role provides implementation, administration, maintenance and troubleshooting of onpremise and cloud hosted data servers, and communications links, as necessary, to assure operational availability. In this role, you will
Support and work in migration & consolidation projects to harmonize the IT-infrastructure across the organization
Implement and operate backup & DR procedures, proactive monitoring and reporting of IT infrastructure & services.
Provision & support network- and server systems required to run back office systems across the organization.
Ensure tools and procedures are in place and configured to delegate daily system management tasks to members of the service desk team and that the team is trained to fulfil these tasks.
Ensure communication links and systems are maintained and available according to defined service levels.
Ensure the IT infrastructure is documented properly and documentation is updated on a regular basis.
Provide support and training to the service desk to improve efficiency and resolution rates.
Act as the primary technical contact for Network and Security, Backup and Monitoring, Server and desktop/application virtualization.
At least 5 years of work experience in an IT environment with at least 3 years in a systems engineer role working with virtualisation, Enterprise Backup technologies and Monitoring tools.
Expert Knowledge of Microsoft Server technologies, Active directory, IP Networking
Good knowledge in configuring ASA firewalls, Cisco routers, switches and routing protocols, RIP, BGP, VLANs, NAT, IPSEC, access lists, SNMP, VPN
Previous experience and demonstrated success in international IS technology migration and/or rollout projects, working with an international team.
Desired: Knowledge of AWS hosting technologies, Xenapp, VMware and Commvault, Linux/Unix OS system management skills and Experience with DELL and Cisco hardware.
Excellent German and English skills (at least in level C1 EU Standard)
Willingness to travel (around 25%)

The monthly gross salary according to the Austrian collective agreement for this function is at least
€3.316,78 (KV-Chemie Ind., Group IV after 4 VGJ, paid 14x per year) with the willingness to overpay,
